memory art session information
What memory art is...
I don’t photograph families the traditional way.
I don’t pose you, perfect you, or try to fit your story into a formula.
I create memory art — natural, honest images shaped by presence, connection, and the sacred ordinary.
These sessions are slow and unhurried. You don’t have to perform, smile on cue, or make your children behave a certain way. You simply get to be together. The images I make are the ones that rise from that space — tender, real, beautifully imperfect, and unmistakably yours
what a session feels like...
Think less “photoshoot,” more breathing room.
We move at your family’s pace. I follow your rhythms, your interactions, your natural way of being. Kids can play, climb, explore, cuddle, snack, or be held. I guide gently, but I never force.
what i look for...
- The way your child rests their head on your chest
- The hands you reach for without thinking
- The quiet ways you comfort one another
- The in-between expressions, movements, and unguarded moments
- The beauty already present in your daily life
Memory art isn’t about perfect frames — it’s about true ones.
where sessions take place...
I photograph in locations that support calm, natural connection:
• Your home — the truest reflection of your family’s story. This is our preferred location.
• Places with meaning — where your family already feels like yourselves. Our second choice.
• Outdoors — fields, gardens, forests, or quiet natural spaces. If we must.
Lighting, environment, and comfort matter more than “pretty backdrops.”
Where you are most at ease is where the truest images are made.
How long sessions last...
Sessions typically last 60–90 minutes, though newborn sessions often move a little slower and may extend naturally.
There is no rush and no pressure. We let the story unfold.
whats included...
Every session includes:
- A slow, documentary-style photography experience
- A curated gallery of hand-edited images
- Get to know your family planning session: 30-1hr (In person or over the phone) for discussing location, clothing, and preparation
- A story-centered approach — no posing, no stiff smiles
- Images delivered in a beautiful online gallery
Your gallery becomes a visual record of your family’s connection at this moment in time — something you’ll return to again and again.
pricing
Pricing starts at $350 for full sessions.
I photograph families who don’t get photos often — those who want something honest, unposed, and
meaningful rather than another set of yearly pictures. This work is slow, intentional, and deeply relational.
I take only a small number of clients each season so I can give my full attention to every
story: the planning, the session itself, the quiet moments in between, and the thoughtful way I edit your gallery.
The price reflects the care, time, and intention poured into each family
I work with — not just the images you receive, but the experience of being seen as you are.
You’re not paying for a set of images — you’re paying for the way your
story is witnessed, held, and remembered.
*I know that meaningful photos are an investment, especially for families who don’t do this often.
If you need to spread your payment out over a few smaller installments, I’m glad to do that.
My priority is working with the right families, not rushing the payment process.
why families choose memory art...
Families come to me because they want:
- Truth over performance
- Connection over choreography
- Calm over chaos
- Story over perfection
- Moments that actually feel like them
They want images that breathe, not the annual family photo session — images their children will see one day and recognize as home.
who this is for...
Memory art sessions are meant for families who:
- Want an unposed, natural session
- Care about emotion more than aesthetics
- Value story, presence, and honest connection
- Want images that feel lived-in, not staged
If you’re longing for a deeper way of seeing your family — these sessions were made for you.
are we a good fit?
I work with only a small number of families each year so I can create with intention, care, and depth.
If you feel a pull toward this kind of storytelling — if you want images your children will feel one day — I would be honored to create memory art with you.
